What this notice covers

This notice explains what happens to personal information you give us through this website, over the phone, or during restoration work at your property.

It does not cover other companies’ websites that we link to, each of which publishes its own notice.

02

Information we collect

What you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the address of the affected property, and whatever you choose to tell us about the damage or your insurance claim.

What we collect automatically: standard server log information such as IP address, browser type, referring page and the pages you viewed, together with any preference you save in your own browser.

03

How we use it

To respond to your request, arrange an assessment, carry out and document restoration work, prepare claim documentation where you have asked us to, invoice you, and keep the records we are required to keep.

We also use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand which parts of the site are useful. We do not sell personal information.

04

Who we share it with

Technicians and subcontractors carrying out work at your property; your insurance carrier or loss adjuster where you have asked us to support a claim; suppliers who host our systems, deliver our email or process payments; and public authorities where the law requires it.

Each supplier is bound to handle your information only on our instructions.

05

Cookies and local storage

This site stores only what it needs in order to function, plus any preference you choose to save. Nothing here is used for advertising or shared with ad networks.

The cookie preferences page sets out each category and lets you change your choice at any time.

06

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

Records relating to completed work — contracts, photographs, moisture logs, invoices and insurance documentation — are kept for as long as tax, insurance and limitation periods require, and are then securely disposed of.

07

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete information we are not required to keep, and tell us to stop sending marketing at any time.

Email hello@ridgeline.example and we will respond. You may also raise a concern with your state consumer protection office.

08

How we protect it

Access is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs, our systems are kept up to date, and information submitted through this site travels over an encrypted connection.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

09

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when our practices change. The revision date appears above, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
